2025 Scouting Report: WR Tre Harris, Ole Miss

Bio:
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 205
Schools: Louisiana Tech (2020-2022), Ole Miss (2023-2024)

Career Stats: 51 games; 220 receptions, 3,532, 29 TDs

2024 Stats: 8 games; 60 receptions (T-65th), 1,030 yards (24th), 7TDs (T-53rd)

I think Tre Harris has a strong claim to being the second-best WR in the class. No one will touch Tetairoa McMillan, but Harris is very good and should be treated as a legit WR 1 in the NFL.

Harris has good size at 6’2” and 205-210 pounds. He ran an okay-ish 40-yard dash as a 4.54 runner, but on the tape, he plays much faster/smoother. In game, that 4.54 looked more like a 4.45, and he would blow by defenders with great routes. He can run every route you ask of him, bubbles, a normal route tree, deep posts, streaks, and bombs too. You don’t need to run fast when you can out-technique every defender you go against. Harris really could be an alpha #1 WR.

Through the first 7 games of the 2024 season, Harris was one of the top receivers in catches, yards, yards per reception, and TDs. Harris had a groin injury in the game against LSU, a game they eventually lost in overtime. In those first 7 games, Harris had 59 catches, 987 yards, and 6 TDs. Over the course of the full 13-game season, Harris would have reeled in 110 catches, 1,833 yards, and 11 TDs. He was on pace to lead the nation in yards by 300, finish second in receptions, and 5th in TDs.

Harris seems to have healed from his groin injury, but since he had a good time and did well on the drills at the combine/cleared medical testing, Harris is set to be a star at the next level.

The Data on Tre Harris:

Ten 100+ yard games in 20 games at Ole Miss, five against SEC teams and one against Penn State in a bowl game.

Averaged 9 receptions, 144 yards, and 1 TD against two of the best corners in college football, Maxwell Hairston (Kentucky) and Zy Alexander (LSU)

69.1% catch rate and 3% drop rate while at Ole Miss.

Draft Outlook:

I’m very high on Harris, but it all depends on where he lands, which is going to be the biggest factor for RBs and WRs going forward. Harris is potentially an early second-round steal, but if I needed an alpha-WR1 I would not second-guess trading up for him in the first-round.

Career Outlook:

Harris could be great if he finds the right team with the right QB and/or the right head coach, but he could also fall to the late second round because of his injury and be buried behind an already-established WR1.
